Dear ARE and Econ PhD students,
Please join us for a two afternoon Research Computing Bootcamp, Monday & Tuesday, September 23-24 (just before classes start back).
The material we’ll cover is designed to help you be more efficient in your research. We'll cover some general topics, including best practices of reproducible research, key software engineering ideas, and research workflows with collaboration. We'll also provide short introductions to languages used for more intensive computation (MATLAB, Julia, Python), GIS and spatial data, and accessing departmental computation resources. Please, see the agenda in the attachment.
This bootcamp is oriented to 2nd-year students, but everyone is welcome!
Have a great summer, and see you on Sept 23!
